The third major category of We Are The Future Inc., Int’l
TM (WATF) is The Family Connection® Television
Game Show.
The Family Connection® is a television game show in which youths,
10-18 years of age, are given a chance to demonstrate their
knowledge and spelling ability in subject areas such
as Science, Geography, History, Current Events, and the Bible. Each
week these youth contestants will vie for gift certificates
and awards for computers, school supplies, clothes, and cash
prizes, which will assist them in school or college.
The Family Connection® Television Game Show would be a
culmination of the training these youths would have received
from the other two categories of WATF. For these youths will be
challenged to apply the manners, and principles of
respectfulness they learned from The T.R.A.Y. Program
TM, as well as the thinking skills they
acquired from The T.A.P.S. Program TM.
In order for these youths to prepare for The Family Connection®
Television Game Show, they must review bodies of knowledge
from different subject areas. Such preparation encourages youths to
become well-rounded individuals. WATF holds the conviction that "A
wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;"
(Proverbs 24:5, New King James Version).
Another benefit of The Family Connection® Television Game Show is
that it encourages family interaction. Each week youth contestants
on the show will bring their family members,
parents, guardians, teachers or ministers to serve as their support
system. Youth contestants will go through three rounds of
questioning, of which and one is a bonus round. During the first
three rounds, youths will answer questions about the subject areas
of Science, Geography, History, Current Events and the Bible.
During the third round, the youth contestants will be given an
opportunity to answer a bonus question after giving the correct
answer. In order to answer this bonus question, the youth
contestants must consult with their guest (i.e. parent, guardian,
teacher or minister), who will be positioned in an area prepared for
them. During the final or bonus round, a youth contestant and
his/her guest will be asked ten questions. Each correct answer
is valued at $1000, which goes toward the contestant’s higher
educational expenses. This exercise of consulting with one’s family
support system will be of value to the youth in his/her future
endeavors. For we believe that this exercise encourages family
unity as family members provide support to one family member
(i.e. youth contestant), and work toward a goal (i.e. winning the
game).
Family unity is critical to the development and success of youths.
Our conviction of family unity is rooted in Psalm 133:1, which says,
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell
together in unity!" (New King James Version). Consequently, as our
youths learn the value of family unity, they will be more
inclined to appreciate the value of teamwork in the accomplishment
and realization of goals when in other group settings.

Efforts
After youths have completed the programs at We Are the Future Inc.,
Int’l TM we expect to see these youths become
examples to other youths of the positive benefits that are reaped
from loving and respecting oneself as well as one's neighbor. We
will encourage schools, churches, businesses, and organizations to
utilize these youths to serve as ushers, and spokespersons at their
events. Consequently, these youths, by their actions and wisdom,
will demonstrate to their peers, communities, and the world that
they truly have a BRIGHT FUTURE.
